Clerk had prepared a Bylaw for consideration should the Council choose
not to proceed with the rezoning of this portion of the property at this
time.

Alderman Ranger suggested that the development could proceed and
the whole parcel be rezoned with the added proviso that the five lots,
Nos. 23 to 27, inclusive, not be developed until such time as the existing
problems are resolved by the Developer . A short discussion followed
regarding the requirements of the Land Registry Office with respect to
registration of a development in this manner.

Moved by Alderman Ranger:

Seconded by Alderman Mabbett:

That Zoning Amendment By-law No. 1590 respecting the Ricard Subdivision

on Pitt River Road be permitted to proceed to Final Reading in accord

with the established procedure;

AND it is hereby understood and agreed that Lots 23 to 27, inclusive,

shall be developed at a later date.

That as recommended by the City Administrator, July 21st, 1978, the
City's Works and Utilities Superintendent, Mr. G.W. Ulmer, be authorized
to attend the Annual Conference of the Governmental Refuse Collection

and Disposal Association Inc. to be held in Calgary, August 29th to

September Ist, 1978;

AND THAT the expenses in connection therewith be paid.

During discussion of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Ranger

requested that Mr. Ulmer attempt to obtain information regarding disposal

of stumps and other land clearing debris by a method other than burning.
