Six years ago, Grace Fell took
a part time job at a _ florist’s
shop helping with orders,
dusting shelves, etc. The next
day her employer’s husband
rushed over to her house to ask
if she could come down to the
shop immediately, His wife,
Grace’s boss had just fallen on
the street and broken both her
hands.

“Of course, she couldn't take
a bouquet out of my harlds and

show me how todoit. She'd say,

take it apart and start all over
again.”’ Grace remembers. And
so began the career that
resulted in Grace Fell Florist,
the flower shop one door down
from the corner of Kalum and
Lakelse.

Although Grace does most
any kind of floral arrangement

witha flair, she specializes in a
complete personalized wedding
service.

“A girl’s wedding day is the
most important day in her life.
[ like to see that everything is
just right.” says Mrs. Fell.

She begins by helping the
prospective bride choose the
right kind of flowers for the
season, suggests tints to
accompany the planned color
scheme of the ceremony,
arranges decorations for the
cake top, the church and the
reception hall. Then she
delivers the flowers personally.
Surely a service every nervous
mother -of-the-bride can
appreciate,

“We weren't underprivelged,
nobody did!” says Grace. She’s
enjoyed watching Terrace grow
and being part of the

Ontario, just minutes from
Toronto, she claims she'd never
