Kinsmen lease

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City agree to renew the lease with the Kinsmen and that the Mayor and Clerk
sign the renewal lease.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The City’s lease with the Kinsmen involves the lease of land to thern on which the
Kinsmen Clubhouse sits. The renewal lease will be on the same basis as the last renewal

with the following two exceptions:
1) There will be an option for a further five year renewal; and

2) The City will have free use of the building on Tuesday evenings and will be scheduled
for recreation programs.

While it is not included in the lease there is an understanding that the City will continue to
give property tax exemption for this property.
