SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR STORM SEWER ~ LAURIER & OXFORD

Recommendation:

That the City approve the construction of approximately 50 metres of 250um
diameter storm sewer on Laurier Avenue west of Oxford Street in early 1991 at
an estimated cost of $11,037.00. That $11,037.00 be allocated from 1991
Public Works Special Capital Reserve Fund.

Background & Discussion:

Attached is a memorandum from the Operations Manager recommending that 50
metres of 250mm diameter storm sewer be installed in Laurier Avenue at an
estimated cost of $11,037.00 to overcome a long standing drainage problem.

The Public Works Special Capital Reserve Fund was established in 1990 with an
annual amount of $200,000.00 to be spent on small capital projects that the
Public Works Committee deems important.
