R12-73 - Beaver Lumber This request was considered previously by the Planning and Zoning Committee and consists of a request to rezone lands from RS~1 to CS-1 to allow additional parking area and lumber storage for Beaver Lumber. The Committee recommended that the application be approved subject to referral to the Engineering Department for any road widening requirements, servicing requirements and for access and egress, and that Development Contract be used if possible. The original Council. recommendation was referred back to the Planning and Zoning Committee to review in conjunction with the possible updating of the original Eastgate Study. The Committee has had our Planning Consultant review this question and although the Eastgate Study is in need of review because of the Marathon proposal the particular land in question owned by Beaver Lumber was recommended for commercial use in the Eastgate Study and this recommendation is still valid. The Committee therefore recommends that the application be approved for further consideration subject to review by the Public Works Committee as noted above. LOP :da attachments
