Signs Proposed

The proposal is to either seil or lease signs to the City.
in discussing the proposal! it is the Committee's recommendation
that the City tease the signs for a four year term. The
committee's reason for recommending this approach is the sign
company will maintain the sign and will add extra companies

that wish to participate.

Two types of sign have been presented by the sign company.
The two kinds of sign are an 4 foot by 8 foot lexan sign that
has back tighting and an unlit sign 8 foot by 16 foot,
Recommendation of the committee and sign company is to use the
less expensive backlit sign. This sign Is recommended because
the directory portion of both types of signs is too sma!!! to be
read from a vehicte. In addition the backlight sign Is more

vandai resistant.

businesses in the Mary Hil! Industrial Estate the Planning
Department will pursue a grant from the Ministry of Industry of

Small Business.
in conciuston, this report is recommending that City

Counci! authorise the Committee to proceed with the signing
programme and that a sum of up to $10,000 to allocated to the

programme.
