June 18th to 26th, 1983.

RECOMMENDATION

That the suppliers of the prizes for the tournament be permitted
to advertise, with a banner, their particular product. :

BACKGROUND _& COMMENTS:

This year's annual tennis tournament by. the Parks & Recreation
Department. is being co-sponsored by Court Sports. Court Sports

is supplying many prizes through their various suppliers. The
suppliers have requested that they be permitted to erect a small
banner advertising their product. The Parks Control By-Law does
not permit any commercial advertising unless Council gives per-~
mission. . The Committee sees no problem in allowing the advertising.
