THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM 2 The Minister of Municipal Affairs, Province of British’ Columbia. The Petition of the City of Port Coquitlam 1. That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has by By-law No. 1870 cited as the "Kingsway Avenue Road Closure By-law, 1981, No. 1870" Stopped up and closed to traffic a certain portion of Road therein described; 2. That the said By-law No. 1870 of The Corporation of the City of Pore Coquitlam was reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Municipal Couneil of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam on the Twenty-Sixth day of Ontober, 1981 and a duly certified copy is attached hereto; 3. That the registered owners of all the adjoining and contiguous lands have consented to the closure of the said portion of Road described in the said By~law No. 1870 and The Corporation of the City St Port Coquitlam has agreed to accept title to the land comprising the same; 4. ' That it is no longer necessay to use the portion of road described in the said By-law No. 1870 as Part of the Road system of the City due-to the construction by the Ministry of Transportation and Highways of a new arterial , highway parallelling the route followed by the said portion of Road deseribed in the said By-law No. 1870. The said closure is being effected in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and Highways and the adjacent landowner and upon completion of the statutory procedures required it is expected thar the land comprising the portion of Road described in the said By-law No. 1870 will be sold to the said adjacent landowner for the sum of one dollar and for so doing the City will receive a Payment from the Ministry of Transportation and: Highways in the amount of thirty~five thousand dollars; 5. That by Resolution dated rhe Twenty-Sixch day of October, 1981 the Municipal Council «cf The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam authorized the presentation of a Peticien to the Minister of Municipal Affairs praying for the abandonment of the portion of road described in the ‘said By-law No. 1870 so stopped up and closed to traffic; THEREFORE your Petitioner humbly prays for the abandonment of the said portion of Road described in By-law No. 1870 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and the vesting of title to the land comprising same in The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam.
