December 15th, 1975 f UBCM r2 proposed From the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, December 1lith, 5-yr.contract- RCMP 1975, concerning the renewal of Federal R.C.M.P. contracts with municipalities to provide local police services, and advising that the formula being advanced by the Federal Government for a five~year period from April 1, 1976 to March 31st, 1981 will be changed as follows: Present Formula: 50% for the first five men, 75% for all additional men. Proposed: On April 1, 1976, 52% for the First five men, 77% for all additional men. On April 1, 1977, 53% for the first five men, 78% for ail additional men. On April 1, 1978, 54% for the first five men, 79% for all additional men. On April 1, 1979, 55% for the first five men, 80% for all additional men. On April 1, 1980, 56% for the first five men, 81% for all additional men. with the "per capita base rate" being changed annually to reflect the actual R.C.M.P. cost experience in the preceding year. Bennett to in the Hyde Creek Centre. Ald. Traboulay-- Alderman Traboulay suggested that a congratulatory letter be sent letter to outgoing government to the outgoing government for the "open" way in which it had dealt with matters of concern to the Council and expressing the hope that this will continue with the newly elected government. @ Ald. Traboulay- ‘Alderman Traboulay referred to the 20% increase in the provisional 4 20% increase-GVWD Prov. Budget budget of the Greater Vancouver Water District which is outside the maximum set by the Anti-Inflation Board's guidelines and stated he felc that Water District should be requested to supply more detailed information thereon; however, Mayor Campbell advised that that body can increase or decrease its provisional budget as required. 1d. Trabovlay- Alderman Traboulay expressed concern at the number of studies tudies prepared for . undertaken by the City that were never implemented; however, Alderman Ranger pointed out that they are useful for reference purposes and in providing a guide for the future.
