Liquor Store, its twin is donated to a local charity. Liquor store branches began selling twin teddy bears as a means to benefit the communities they do business in. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Twin Bear program is a huge success, says Barb Barker, assistant manager 3 of the Terrace Liquor Store. “We keep increasing our orders every year,’’ said Barker. ‘‘There’s great support — people here are very generous.’” This year, the liquor store is donating the bears to sick children at Mills Memorial Hospital, the Salvation Anny for its Christmas Hampers, the Transition House for women aid children fleeing abuse and the RCMP victims’ services for victims of violent crime. The twin bears are different each year — this year's spe- cial anniversary edition is a B.C. grizzly. More than 75,000 cuddly critters have been donated to charity since 1988. pra regrempe ananee MAES or! tg Pa ee eke a ao re —_ DISS TIL TLS aes nee pet Me neh ae ey ANNOUNCEMENT - #Na Northern Industries would like to congratulate the following people on their new positions Doug] Peters, Has accepted the position of ‘General.
