Brett Wearne, a South African exchange student, was first in the 4.7 mile run, Joe Nelson of Prince Rupert — the only outsider to crack the best six standings — was runnerup to ‘Wearne. Megan was the second grade eight run- ner across the line, Zone Senior and Junior Soccer Finals The Kitimat Senior Rowdies have again won the zone soccer title and will compete in provin- cial finals at, Victoria, Nov. 19 to 21. In a sudden-death final played at Terrace, Rowdies blanked Prince Rupert 5-0. _ * Kitimat’s Junior Rowdies won their zone title without even - donning shoes: A’ two-game, total-goal series had been set up against Rupert's Booth at Kitimat. But Rupert decided not to play and defaulted the crown to Kitimat. Senior Volleyball Hazelton hosted a four-team senior volleyball playday which ‘was won by Bulkley Valley Christian with an eight-win, no- loss record.
