RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Clerk be instructed to initiate the appropriate steps to:

1. Legally create "Parcel 1" as shown on the attached diagram,

2. Amend the Official Community Plan Designation for the new "parcel i" from Mati :e

Traditional to Parks and Recreation; and
3. Rezone "Parcel 1" from RS-3 to P-1.

BACKGROUND:

A, Public Information Meeting was held on Monday November 7, 1994 on a proposed
amendment to the Official Community Plan and rezoning that would have the effect to convert

Parcel 1 (See Attached Diagram) into a Public Paxk.

The meeting was held at the Council Chambers in the Municipal Hall and there were
representations made by 5 speakers.

SUBMISSIONS AND COMMENTS:

Mr. M. Forrest: States that he does not object to Parcel 1 being designated "Park". He
expresses his desire that his family, that lives in the property immediately east to the
proposed park, will be consulted if and when development of the park occurs.
