In connection with the above noted application you will be pleased to learn that the Municipal Council has received a report from the City’s Director of Community Planning «nd Council has, by resolution and subject to the comments contained below, directed that the necessary proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw be prepared. You are cautioned that the taking of this action by the Municipal Council merely indicates the Council’s readiness to submit your application to a Public Hearing as required under the provisions of the Municipal Act when you have fulfilled all the preliminary conditions set forth in: the report from the Director of Community Planning and approved by the Council. The final decision conceming the passage or non-passage of the Zoning Amendment Bylaw remains with the Municipal Council, any other factors notwithstanding. Until the bylaw has. been reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Council your property will remain in its present zone and we would particularly caution you not to take any action at this time based upon the assumption that the property will be rezoned. A copy of the Director of Community Planning’s report referred to above is enclosed for your reference and you will note that the date this report was considered by the Council is stamped thereon. Please examine this report carefully and obtain any independent advice you require to ensure that the report’s content and its recommendation are satisfactory to you and will achieve the effect you desire.
