SUBJECT: Floodproofing Covenant Adera Development Pitt River Rd. at Reeve St.
(Public Works Committee Meeting May 17, 1990)

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council Authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute the attached Section 215
Covenant which specifies floodproofing requirements for the property.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The Ministry of Environment has required that Adera Developments (Country Park
Estates Ltd.) register the attached covenant on their property to regulate
floodproofing requirements and to indemnify the City and the Ministry against
damage claims due to flooding on the property. This is a standard form of
covenant which is widely in use by the Ministry and the Committee recommends

that it be executed by the City.
