MONTHLY SERVICE REPORT

JUNE 1981

During the month of June, a total of 27 complaints were received, bringing
the total for the year to date up to 216, which was down from 256 in 1980.

The number of dogs impounded, 64, brings the total for the year to date to
the same as 1980.

The number of animals destroyed through the pound, 5, brings the total for
the year to date to 44, down from 52 in 1980.

There has been a slight reduction in the dead animals picked up off the

streets for the year to date, and the number of animals destroyed as surplus

to human requirements is the same.

During the month, a meeting was held with Alderman Muldoon to discuss in
detail the functions of the S.P.C.A. and other problems associated with
animal control in the regulating area of the City of Port Coquitlam.
