“THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C 0 U \ C | L JUL 28 1980 MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and Council July 24th, 1980 FROM: Planning & Zoning Committee Re: R#15-80 SUBJECT: Application to rezone part of 2402 Glenwood from A-1 to RS-1l. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Remainder of Lot 3, District Lot 3380, Plan 1106. BACKGROUND: 2402 Glenwood is a,large vacant property o£ roughly 7,000 m” in size and is adjacent to the Coquitlam River. The property currently has split zoning of RS-l and A-1. The zoning boundary is only arbitrary and has never been clearly defined by description. This application is to request the establishment of a suitable zoning boundary to enable more viable sub- division of the property. The proposal is to set the boundary at a distance of 100 feet from the natural boundary of the Coquitlam River. This will ensure that the concept of the Coquitlam River ' Lineal Park can be protected. A portion of the property within the 100-foot corridor is to be dedicated to the City. RECOMMENDATION: The Committee recommends that the application be advanced to Public Hearing. 4 . é ae (ee Lee, City Planner.
