Alderman Mabbett commented that the Provincial Government has taken action with respect to providing noise level testing devices at all three testing stations in the Lower Mainland, and although they are not in opera- tion as yet from a standpoint of noise level, most of the equipment is in- stalled. Alderman Laking stated he agreed with the idea in principle, but was concerned that there may not be sufficient vehicles on the North Shore to warrant the building of a testing station in that area. Alderman Ranger referred to the increased cost of air spraying from $20,000.00 last year to $31,230.00 for 1974, pointing out that last year the Provincial Government banned spraying for adulticiding from the air, and stating he could not see spraying from the air when the City is building trails for ground control, Alderman Thompson commented that the cost of Spraying has gone up, and Alder- man Traboulay advised that if he attends the meeting, which he is dubious about in view of the fact that the Regional District may take over this func- tion, he wiil make a point of inquiring about the increased cost, The letter was then received for information. Station West on Kingsway, left onto Maple right onto Shaughnessy, left onto Hawthorne, left onto Mary Ilill Road, right onto Wilson, and into the Recreation Centre ~ a distance of approximately one and three quarter miles. Mr. Stevens, in his letter, also requested parking restrictions between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Shaughnessy Street from Elgin Avenue to Hawthorne Avenue.
