ERNIE AND Evelyn Anweiler of Lakelse Lake had some

timely visitors recently — Johan and Cory Wyngaard of

Holland.

The Wyngaards were their hosts for the 50th anniversary
celebralion of the liberation of Holland by Canadian
soldiers.

Emie and Evelyn were among many Canadians who
retumed to Holland and other areas of Europe to lake part
in remembrance celebrations.

While they were there the Wyngaards promised to make
a trip to visit Canada.

They were very impressed with how vast the Canadian
landscape is. They commented on the stunning mountains,
glaciers, huge trees, waterfalls and wildlife such as the fish
-and bears,

The Canadian saying, ‘seeing is believing’ has ob-
viously reached Holland because the Wyngaards took pic-
turcs of almost everything while they were here.

’ Because of the language difference, Ernie and Evelyn
said they developed a unique universal language all their
own — a mixture of Dutch, German and English — with
lots of laughs thrown in. They weren’t always talking

' about the same thing, said Evelyn, but they had a greal

lime.
The Wyngaards went home feeling very impressed with
our area.
