campaign against high prices, working
women and housewives of Canada sparked
the nation and frightened bigwigs on Parlia-
ment Hill. Now the time has come for a
March of a Million Women Against War.
Last year the International Women’s Day
Committee in Britain published a magnificent
peace manifesto entitled, ‘For Life—Not
Death.’’ Then 6,000 London women held a
great anti-war demonstration in Trafalgar
Square, pledging themselves to work for peace
and cooperation between the common people
of all lands.
In Canada, our women are not lagging
behind. The Women’s Committee for Peace
Action, which sent Dorise Nielsen to a world
peace congress in Hungary two months ago,
iS now sponsoring a nation-wide tour for Mrs.
Nielsen—and citizens of Vancouver will have
‘Qn opportunity to hear the inspiring report by
this fine fighter for peace at a public meet-
ing in Pender Auditorium on March 7. f
