SUBJECT: PRAIRIE AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION - NEWBERRY STREET TO CEDAR DRIVE

RECOMMENDATION:

That Committee award the consulting services for the design and contract preparation of Prairie
Avenue between Newberry Street and Cedar Drive to Civic Consulting Group Ltd. in the amount of

$22,090 (G.S.T. included).

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Seven Consulting Engineering firms were invited for proposal for consulting services for the design and contract
preparation of Prairie Avenue between Newberry Street and Cedar Drive:

Associated Engineering

Civic Consulting Group Ltd.

Delcan Corporation

Duncan & Associated Engineering Ltd.
McElhanney Engineering Services Ltd.
N. D. Lea Consultants Ltd.

PBK Engineering Lid.

After a thorough review of all the proposals, Civic Consulting Group Ltd. was chosen to provide consuiting
services for the design and contract preparation of Prairie Avenue Reconstruction Project - Newberry Street to

Cedar Drive.

ey ~ Civic Consulting Group Ltd. is a reputable consulting engineering firm with vast experience in the field of road
construction. Locally, Civic Consulting Group Ltd. provided consulting services for the upgrading of
Shaughnessy Street between Pitt River Road and Marshall Avenue from a 2-lane arterial street to a 4-lane

standard arterial street.

It is recommended that Committee award the consulting services for the design and contract preparation of
Prairie Avenue between Newberry Street and Cedar Drive to Civic Consulting Group Lid. in the amount of

$22,090 (G.S.T. included). L
