Non-profit housing for seniors should be isocated in areas of
relatively flat grades that are close to transit, shopping areas,
parks and recreation facilities.

Where a selected site cannot be used as a family-oriented project
under the provisions of Guideline. 1 (Family Housing), seniors
subsidized housing may be considered.

In order to minimize impacts on the community, gseniors' projects
are encouraged to be of similar densities to surrounding or

comparable developments.

The City shall be supportive of proposed developments that are not
excessively large or oversized in relation to existing and
potential developmentea in the vicinity.

Group homes should be located close to amenities and services
appropriate to user groups.

Group homes should be of similar scale, density and character to
development in surrounding areas.

Guidelines

1. The minimum distance between group homes should be at least 200
metres.
