—~2-- The driveway access ramps will be built up with retaining walls to prevent sideslopes from reducing your front lawn space. The walls will extend 6 inches above the surface of the pavement to provid: a curb. As shown on the attached sketch, the driveway adjacent .0 your house will follow the existing alignment. Any trees or landszaping which may be damaged will be replace: to your satisfaction. Areas disturbed during construction wi.. be restored. Working hours will be restricted to 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the area immediately adjacent to your property. Dust will be watered down as required. The side slope of the -fill on Pitt River Road along the front of your property will be paved so that you will not have to maintain grass on a steep slope. 9) Pitt River Road will be raised to elevation 5.25 metres which is 0.6 metres lower than the top of the retaining wall. The requested cleanup of the banks of the slough at the rear of your property would be the responsibility of the City, as would the legal costs for survey and registration of the requested right of way and the maintenance of the dyke after construction is complete. Cleanup of the slough and approval of your proposal to swap the 3.0 metre right of way for City owned land to the rear of your property, where filling has taken place, would be subject to Council approval. The attached sketch illustrates that portion of the City property which Associated Engineering have advised that the City should keep. The extent of property which could be turned over to you in exchange for the right of way is therefore limited to the area shaded pink on the attached sketch. It should be noted that once the right of way is registered, you would be able to use the area for lawn; however, the City would not want to see any trees or structures of any type located within the right of way. If the transfer of City owned property located within the area shaded in pink on the attached sketch, in exchange for you granting the statutory right of way to the. City over the area shaded in green on the same sketch is acceptable to you, please indicate your approval by signing the attached copy of this letter and returning it to me for presentation to Council for approval.
