Riecken Acting City Engineer Installation of Drains Behind Various Sidewalks (Public Works Committee Meeting July 3, 1990) RECOMMENDATION: That the following perforated drains be installed to prevent ice buildup on sidewalks, utilizing funding from the Public Works Special Capital Expenditure Reserve Fund. (1) Install 35 m of drain at 1824 PItt River Road (2) Instal:.. 70 m of drain at 1866 Western Drive (3) Install 130 m of drain at Eastern N of Humber Total 17,449 BACKGROIND AND COMMENTS: Perforated drains are required behind the sidewalks at the above noted locations to prevent seepage of water onto the sidewalk from the adjacent boulevard.
