Freeman City Clerk Lda narp rte en Se ony SUBJECT: Grant of Right of Way to B.C. Hydro RECOMMENDATION: + That Council give consideration to passage of the following resolution: "That the Statutory Right of Way Agreement contained in the Agenda documents for the Council meeting of June 24th, 1985 wherein a Right of Way Is granted by The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam to British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority over all those lands contalned within Rights of Way Plans 42119, 67153, and 69583 be and the same is hereby approved; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be author|ized to execute the said Agreement on behalf of the City and To affix the City's Corporate Seal thereto." BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: A small map section follows this memorandum and the extent of the Right of Way to be granted is snown Included within the Keaavy outiine. Council members wilt recognize the property northwest of the Coquitiam River as that recently purchased from B.C. Hydro. and acquired under the Clty's River Boundary Establishment Procedures. Part of the arrangements made with B.C. Hydro was that the Right of Way now proposed would be granted and the Council is therefore under some obligation to carry this through. Kith respect to the Right of Way southeast of the River this simply corrects an anomaly that has existed for many years In +hat the transmission lines (both electricity and gas) have been in place without benefit of a Right of Way.
