May 3rc, 1976 AND THAT as approved by resolution at the September 9th, 1974 Council meeting, a small piece of City-owned property consisting of an area of 50 x 66 which is presently an extension of Patricia Avenue leading into City~owned park, be dedicated for road allowance upon payment by the applicant, Mr. Hugh McDonald, of the sum of $2,500.00 plus the cost of the legal survey required to effect the dedication. TABLED. The City Engineer, in speaking to the proposed subdivision, stated he felt it was quite important to provide a loop from Scott Place to Patricia Avenue in order to provide an alternative means of access to that area. Alderman Ranger pointed out that a strip of City-owned land on Westminster Avenue had recently been sold to a developer for $1.50 per square foot, and he stated his concern at selling the small piece of Patricia Avenue to Mr. McDonald for the 1974 rate of 75¢ per square foot. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the foregoing resolution concerning frontage exemption for a proposed subdivision of Sketch 8777 and Lot 3, Plan 15843, District Lot 4, Township 39 and dedication of a small piece of City-owned property, being an extension of Patricia Avenue leading into City-owned park, for road allowance, be deferred and referred to the Land Sale Committee. Carried. Fire Prev.Officer rom the Fire Prevention Officer, April 28th, 1976, being a request {re appln.for burning permit-centre for a permit to clear by burning, trees and branches from the centre of of property~ one of Scott property at the end of Scott Place. It was noted that the application ace involved the same preperty as that referred to in the immediately preced—— ing memorandum from the City Engineer, and the following resolution was proposed: Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the application from Liedtke Construction Ltd., April 28th, 1976, for a permit to clear by burning, trees and branches from the centre of property at the end of Scott Place, be denied. Carried. Aldermen Keryluk, Laking, and Thompson voted against the resolution.
