charm, or so it seems for
airls volleyball this year.

Terrace has taken home
three girls’ zone cham-
pionships this year — at the
Grade 8, junior and senior
high levels.

The Skeena Wildcats
Grade 8 girls Nov. 22 vic-
tory marked the third zone
championship win in as
many weeks for girls
teams in Terrace and
that’s something the two
local high schools are
proud of.

The Grade 8 girls hos-
ted the zone tournament
Nov. 22 at the Skeena
gymnasium taking on
teams from Prince Rupert
to Smithers and Houston.

The team dominated its
first game against Houston
winning two straight sets
25-12 and 25-6.

Next up was Prince Ru-
perl who Terrace defeated
two straight going 25-16 in
both sets. In the semi-fi-
nals Terrace met Bulkley

the next two sets straight
to advance to the cham-
pionships final.

all came together for the

to the games

TERRACE'S PeeWee boys B team will be going to
the Northern B.C. Winter Games in Kitimat come Febr-

uary.

The local team earned its spot at the games after two
decisive back to back games in Hazelton Nov. 22.

' Playing in a best of three format, Terrace took on Ha-
zelton but proved a third game wasn’t necessary after
winning the first game 12-5 followed by a 21-5 beating.

The team is coached by Tom Turner, assisted by
Kevin Legros and Steve Turner. ;

The 11-12 year old players on the team consist of:
Joey Cormano, Corbin Legros, Ben Reinbolt, Ceasar
Kenyon, Jeremy Vanderbroek, Mackenzie Turner, Ben
Bingham, Willie Zorn, Curtis Bolton, Wade Foster,
Corry Hubbard, Michael Leong, Brandon Merritt, Reid
Turner, Rajan Sanga, Spenser Krupp and Hayden Atkin-

son.
