Parkside students were en- _ couraged to donate a used toy, book, puzzle or game and when they did so, they recived a paper heart to hang on the Valentine tree, All donated items were then sold off on Valentines Day, raising a total of $136.40, HEARTFELT HELP for deprived third world children came fro m Parkside Elementary students last week, Rachel Cowell and Ryan Simons were among the e youngsters who got to hang a heart on ‘the, Vaientines tree. Seniors enjoy crowning moment ~ Senior citizens were witness to acoronation Sunday, Feb. 11 as Ann Kohl and Fred. Berghauser were invested as Queen and King at this year’s Sweetheart dinner and dance, Sponsored by the Kinsmen and Kinettes, the event was once again a lovely evening for the seniors attending. On entering the Elks Hall, all were escorted to their table by members of the Kinsmen. Handsome Eric Johanson was master of ceremonies for the evening — he did a fine job — grace was said by Mauriel O’ Boyle and Ruth Hallock was there as the city’s represen- tative, Everyone enjoyed a lovely roast beef dinner prepared and served by the Kinsmen/Kinettes and dancing afterward to the sounds of Jim Ryan and crew.
