COUNCIL THE CORPORATION OF THE JAN 25 1993 CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM B.R. Kirk DATE: January 20, 1993 City Administrator J.E. Yip Deputy City Engineer SPECIAL PUBLIC WORKS FUND - BOLLARD INSTALLATION ON HASTINGS ST. EAST OF GORDON MANOR (Public Works Committee Meeting - December 15, 1992) RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the installation of 10 wooden bollards along the east side of the property at 3189 Hastings St.(Gordon Manor) at a cost of $500 and that the money for this work be allocated from the 1992 Special Public Works Fund. The Public Works Committee considered a memorandum from the Project Technician dated December 9, 1992 regarding a request (copy attached) from the manager and resident of Gordon Manor to investigate the problem she has with vehicles crossing her property. The reason for this request is that the manager, Patricia MacRury, has been having problems with vehicles leaving the end of Gordon Ave. and crossing her property to access Hasting St. The reverse situation also occurs. The Committee approved this request at their December 15, 1992 meeting. A memorandum will be sent to the Operations Manager to request that the bollards be installed. It is recommended that these bollards be installed at an estimated cost of $500 to restrict vehicular access from Hastings St. across Gordon Manor property and that the funds be allocated from the 1992 Special Public Works Fund. JE inf] of Deputy City Engineer J E/atp attachment Treasurer’s Comments I verify that there are sufficient funds in the 1992 Special Public Works Fund for this purpose. i . Maitland, City Treasurer
