THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM

BYLAW NO. 2162

A Bylaw to adopt a Community Plan of
The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam
as an Official Community Plan.

WHEREAS the Municipal Act authorizes the preparation of Community Plans and

provides that the Council may adopt the Community Plan by bylaw as a Official
Community Plan;

AND WHEREAS a community plan has been prepared and after First Reading of this

Bylaw the Counci! has:

(a) examined the plan in conjunction with the most recent capital
expenditure program under Section 266 of the Municipal Act to ensure
consistency between them;

(b) examined the plan in conjunction with the Economic Strategy Plan
entitled "Port Coquitlam Industrial Development Development Strategy" to
ensure consistency between them;

(c) determined that no app!ticable waste management plan exists for
consideration;

(d) referred the pian to the Council of the District of Coquitlam and the
Councit of The Corporation of the District of Pitt Meadows for comment;

(e) referred the plan to the Board of the Greater Vancouver Regional
District for comment.

AND WHEREAS the Council deem it desirable to designate the community. plan forming

part of this Bylaw as an Official Community Plan of The Corporation of the City
of Port Coquitlam;

AND WHEREAS the required time limits have been observed, the required Notices

have been published, and a Public Hearing has been held;

AND WHEREAS the approval of the Minister of Municipal Affairs pursuant to the

provisions of Section 187 of the Municipalities Enabling and Validating Act has
been obtained;

NOW THEREFORE the Municipa! Council of The Corporation of the City of Port

Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

The Official Community Plan Policies marked Schedule "A" and the Official
Community Plan Map marked Schedule "B", both of which are attached hereto and
form an integra! part of this Bylaw are designated as an Official Community Plan
of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and apply to all areas of the

City.

NOTE:

1. Schedules "A" & "BY" are available
for viewing in the City Clerk's
Office and in the Terry Fox Library.

2. Copies of Schedules "A" & "B" can be
obtained from the Director of Planning
at a cost of $5.00.

3. All Council members have copies.
