Nurses are also asking for raises of zero per cent in the first two years and two per- cent in the third year. They are also secking pay equity raises of one per cent in each of three years. B.C. Nurses __ president Cathy Ferguson said about 1,000 nurses should be hired in the province (costing the government $134 million) to bring health care back to what it used to be.
