Bowlers To Play For Heart Bowlers throughout British Co- lumbia should find new enthusi- asm for their games from Febru- ary 20 to February 27. They will be bowling from the heart, for the heart, for the Bowling Propri- étors’ Association of B.C. and the B.C. Heart Foundation have ar- ranged a “Bowlers Heart Fund Week." ; Posters and campaign literature will be displayed at all bowling centres and during league games Heart Fund donations will be col- lected in special plastic hearts. Of equal importance to the amount of money raised, is the opportunity to make bowlers aware of the work of the Founda- tien which is ‘holding its annual drive for funds during February, Heart Month. ‘It is universally agreed that exercise and good living habits help prepare the individual to combat heart and blood vessel dis- eases, The Foundation encourages people to participate in all forms of recreation and exercise that will improve physical fitness. They would particularly like to see more concentration on sports which can be enjoyed by the fam- ily as a whole, such as bowling. Early in March the Bowling Pro- prietors Association will make an official presentation to the Heart Fund on behalf of British Colum- bia bowlers.
