Riecken, Deputy City Engineer ITEM f: CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES That the minutes of the Public Works Traffic Sub-Committee Meeting held on Tuesday, July 17, 1990 to be considered read and adopted. Carried. ITEM II: REQUEST FOR SPEED BUMPS AND SPEED SIGNS / The committee reviewed a letter dated July i1, 1996 from Jean Gobillot of 2941 Coventry Crescent which had a petition Signed by 14 residents attached to the letter. The resident requested that speed signs and speed bumps be placed on Coventry Crescent near James Park Elementary School. : It was determined that speed bumps and signs may not be appropriate. The Comittee agreed that some additional traffic control was required. The Committee recommended that Council approval be sought. for the posting of a school. zone sign on Coventry Crescent, north of Westminster Avenue and a _ second. school zone sign for traffic going east at Suffolk Avenue and Britannia . III: HANDLEY CRESCENT PUMP STATION TENDERS The Committee reviewed a memorandum from: the Deputy City Engineer regarding the proposed construction tender for the Handley Crescent Sanitary. Pump ~ Station. Due to the long time required for Supply of the pumps (over 90 days). the earliest that the Pump station could be installed is the winter of 1990. - Installation costs could be lower if construction is postponed to next years — a The Committee recommended that the tender for construction of the Handley .
