SUBJECT: Nesting Boxes ~ Lions Park

Recommendation

That the Brownies of the First Coquitlam River Pack be
permitted to locate 24 nesting boxes in Lions Park.

Background & Comments

The brownies have applied and received a grant of $150 from the
Habitat 2000 Fund. The purpose of the grant is to help celebrate
Wildlife Week's 25th Anniversary. The brownies will be building 24
nesting boxes and then wish to place them in trees in Lions Park. The
placement of these nesting boxes will be done in conjunction with the
brownies, Wildlife Rescue Centre and the Parks Superintendent. The
Parks & Recreation Committee views the project as most worthwhile.
