From the City Clerk, April 18th, 1989 regarding Sale of City Property -

Northside 18.3 acres - 1408 Chelsea Avenue.

Moved by Aiderman Laking:

Seconded by Alderman Stewart:

WHEREAS the lands hereinafter described are not required for municipal

purposes nor are they reserved or dedicated;

NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that:

1.

Lot 1, Section 7, Township 40, Plan 74406, New Westminster District, Port
Coquitlam, B.C.,

be sold by tender if a bid acceptable to Council is received;

The City Clerk is hereby instructed and authorized to publish and post the
"Real Property for Sale By Tender" notice appearing in the Agenda
documents of this Council Meeting;

The terms and conditions contained therein are hereby approved;

The City Clerk carry out the procedures set out therein.

Council reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject all of the bids
if Council in its absolute discretion determines that rejection is
appropriate.

Defeated.

From the City Engineer, April 17th, 1989 regarding Proposed Regional

Policing in the G.V.R.D.

Moved by Alderman Laking:

Seconded by Alderman Wright:

THAT the G.V.R.D. be advised that the City of Port Coquitlam does not wish

to consider further the proposal on Regional Policing in the G.V.R.D. at this
time.

AND THAT the Municipality correspond with the Solicitor General (Police

Services Branch) to inquire as to the status of the agreement between the
Provincial and Federal Government on Policing.

Carried.
