Ranger re Alderman Ranger referred to the application for a burning permit burning permits . granted earlier this evening, and stated his view that possibly a motion mo should be brought ‘in to abandon the By-law because some Aldermen are prone to discriminate between one developer and another; however, Mayor Campbell, in reiterating his stand for burning, referred to his previous iam remarks on the provision in the By-law that all applications must be submitted to Council, and he stated he did not like to see politics enter into the issuance of burning permits. Alderman Laking stated he would not have voted for the By-law without that provision being included as there are times burning should be controlled.
