PHONE 939.9201 SCHOOL DISTRICT No. 43 (COQUITLAM) $50 POIRIER ST. COQUITLAM. B. C. P-73 COUNC June 12, 1973 JUN 18 1973 Mr. Rod. Freeman, City Clerk Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam 2272 McAllister Avenue Port Coquitlam, B. C. Dear Mr. Freeman: Your letter of May 24th regarding Cedar Drive Elementary School was considered by the Board at its last meeting. The Chairman of the Beard has received assurance from the Minis- ter of Education that the Provincial Government will pass an Order-In-Council authorizing the Board to vary an existing referendum. This variation order will provide funds to construct the Lincoln Avenue Elementary School. In the opinion of the Board, there is not, therefore, need for an audience with Premier Barrett. Regarding temporary facilities in September 1973, the Board has undertaken to provide sufficient portable classrooms at the Cedar Drive and Birchland Schools to provide such accommodation as the Board feels is required.
