The room is softly lit with a unique sparklirig ball hanging from. the centre of the dancing area. The music professional as ~ ~ indicated by the applause of the dancers. The room was a study in artistry with ~ ~ wail lights modernistic squares giving the effect ofcandlclight; a polka dotted: _ lighted panel spread its rays as did the colorful plastic squares on the ceiling. ~_ . She worked at the Royal Canadian Legion for about two years before coming to the Cabaret. Hotel Red’Dor Cabaret. Freda:is a very. gracious receptionist at the’ Red D'or and: will be remembered by many for her associations as. hostess at the Lakelse. Lodge Cabaret, before it was burned down, and at Oli’s Place just off: thé shore of Lakelse Lake. But ’ Freda is not new to the Terrace Hotel. She started “working for Augie at the front desk in 1962, left and ~ eame back again to work in the dining room in 1967. -» She cooked for banquets and was the first to take tickets when the Red D’or opened for the first time. -’. For four and a half years she managed the pool hall in Terrace.
