objections to the application by Mil:er Contracting Limited to dredge within
the Fraser River, unload barges at the Coast Meridian Road bulkhead, and =|

BACKGROUND:

. The City has received a referal feom the Fraser River Harbour Commission
pertaining to a proposal by Miller Contracting Limited to undertake dredging |
in the Fraser River and to use the barge loading facility at the foot of Coast.
Meridian Road to off-load the dredgec materials. The materials would then be.
_ transported to 4 nearby fill site for the Ministry of Transportation and _

| This referral enables the City to comment on whether or not the proposals
within FREMP's area of jurisdiction may conflict with the City's existing or —
proposed use of lands above the high water line. ay a
