A Bylaw to amend the “Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243”

The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in
open meeting assembled, enacts as follow::

The "Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243" is amended by adding,
after Section 5, the following as Section 5A:

"SA. (1)

Every proposed zoning amendment bylaw given readings as the
result of an application for rezoning, and not adopted by the
Council within one year from the date the proposed bylaw was
given third reading, shail not be considered for adoption unless
Council extends the time for consideration of adoption for a
period of up to one year from the initial one year period and an
additional fee calculated in the manner and amount provided for
by Section 10(a) of this bylaw is paid.

More than one extension may be given under this section.

Nothing in this section nor any action taken by the Council
hereunder requires the Council to adopt any proposed bylaw.”

2. .The Bylaw is further amended by adding, after Section 9, the following as
Section 9A: tae Lo |

Every Development Variance Permit or Development Permit which
has: not been issued within 12 months from the date the
preparation of the Permit was authorized by Council shall not be

issued unless Council extends the time for issuance for a period

of up to one year and an additional non-refundable fee of

$400.00 is paid.

More thon one extension may be given under this section.”

3. This Bylaw may bo cited for all purposes as the "Development Procedures
Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243, Amendment Bylaw, 1991, No. xxxx".
