Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: Drainage of Buffer Strip north of Best Western Motel - : ~ Public Works Committee, September 19th, 1983 RECOMMENDAT!ON: That a catch basin be placed in the buffer area north of. the Best Western Mote! and that the estimated cost of $1,000 be taken from the unallocated Pubile Works Budget. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: The unused road allowance north of the Best Western Mote! is. used as a buffer strip between the commercial and “residential areas. This buffer strip Is extremely Low compared: to the surrounding ltand and retains water whenever there is a rainfall. I(t is possible to drain this strip by extending a pipe and installing a grass type catch basin at the lowest potnt. It is recommended that this work be done for a cost of $1,000. ouv-F.E.
