GENERAL REMARKS - CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM

The Animal Control Facility functioned extremely well during the month of July.

fhe recent spell of hot weather changed the habits of the canine population.
Dogs are very loathe to leave their source of water and sun Shade daring the
heat of the day. Patrol schedules were revised toa early mornings and evenings.

The trends experienced since the lst of January 1977 are continuing (ie.)

(a) The number of complaints, 13 is the lowest for over
7 years,

(b) Animals destroyed is still being reduced.

(c) More responsible ownership is becoming evident.
