20 Town. Centre Proposal. The Chairman outlined to Mr. Buchanan the
Council's concerns regarding the influence of the. proposed Regional Town *
Centre. Mr. Buchanan noted Alderman Laking's remarks: and advised that

the Council of the District of Coquitlam had not yet dealt with the

latest proposals of the G.V.R.D. Planning Committee for the Regional

Town Centre's location, however, he would inform their Planning Committee
of the City's concerns.

The Committee felt that the Coquitlam Zoning By-law, as explained by

Mx. Buchanan, would not permit an undesirable development on the site.

The Committee would suggest that the City Engineer contact the Department
of Highways concerning the proposed arterial road link to Como Lake Avenue

to determine the status of planning for this arterial route.
