tons for the event. They were Grace Mitchell, Daniel Miller, Grace Mitchell, Jennifer Kuehne and
Kendra Eys. Vanessa LeBlanc will be an alternate for the B.C. Sectionals to be held Nov, 10-13.

Games berths booked

WHEN THE skalers take to the ice at the 1995 B,C.
Winter Games, there will be at least two Terrace
club members in the line-up.

Grace Mitchell and Daniel Miller have booked
themselves berths at the competition, scheduled for
Feb, 23-26 in the Comox Valley.

The duo glided to first place finishes in the Juve-
nile Ladies’ and Men’s respectively at the Oct. 20-
23 tryouts held in Prince George.

And two more local blade wearers are on the
allernates list for the Games.

Kendra Eys took fourth behind Mitchell while
Jennifer Kuchne finished fifth in the Senior Artistic
class.

Other Juvenile Ladies results saw Lindsay
Moleski take filth, Erin Goodall seventh just ahead
of Katie Dediluke, Leanne Ballinger narrowly miss
alop-10 finish and Jill Harvey in 18th.

In Junior Artistic Dediluke reversed the placings,
placing ninth ahead of Eys (12th) and Mitchell
(14th).

The Prince George trip also saw the Cariboo-
North Central regional tryouts for spots at the B.C.
Sectionals champiouship being held in Kelowna
this weekend,

Vanessa LeBlanc skated to a second place finish
in the figures final and a fifth in the freeskate, That
left her in fourth overall and makes her an alternate
for the Sectionals,

Applauding the performance of the Terrace
skaters, club spokesman. Kim Goodall pointed out
the standard required was a demanding one: three
judges' marks at 2.8 or higher, And many of the
Terracites achieved that target.

They should all be very proud of themselves,”
she said, adding, ‘‘they represented Terrace well.
