deputy lands minister said
Wednesday the provincial
government plans to repeal
the Skagit Valley Lands Act
of 1947 won't stop the flood-
ing of Skagit Valley.

Canada Manpower said
today it will continue to tell
prospective workers about
possible job opportunities at
the strike-bound Hotel
Vancouver.

The strike entered its
eighth day as 475 members
of the Canadian
Brotherhood of Railway,
Transport and General
Workers Union remained off
the job to support wage
demands.

Canada Manpower had
been criticized by the union
earlier this week for
instructing workers about
job opportunities at the
otel. -

The British Columbia
Federation of Labor slapped
a “hot”? declaration on the
hotel last Friday.

conduct in industrial
disputes,” gaid Gordon E.

general for Manpower and
