THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM January 4th, 1989 B.R. Kirk City Administrator R.A. Freeman City Clerk/Deputy Administrator Re: Mary Hill Road Widening, RECOMMENDATION: That the Refere Land Surveyor, dated 7t Atkins Avenue and Pitt hereby approved; BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: Passage of the above noted recommendation by the Council will complete the proceedings required under Bylaw No. 29 of the City which is "The Schoolhouse Road Widening Bylaw, 1914" and the Widening of Mary Hill Road t to 66 feet throughout its entire length will be completed. Bylaw No. 29 was adopted by the Council on March 3lst, 1914 and it ts only now, some 75 years later, that full legal effect is being given to the Bylaw. No physical change will actually take place on the ground as Mary Hill Road has always been considered to be its full width of 66 feet, Detailed procedures such as this are sometimes referred to as "house keeping" and that description is probably appropriate in this case even though it is house keeping of a somewhat extended and grand nature. oa R.A.
