Defeated. Aldermen Laking and Traboulay voted in favour of the resolution. Prior to defeat of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Keryluk stated he felt that rezoning the triangular portion of the property to the West to M-3 (Special Industrial) would act as a buffer and be compatible with the adjacent residential area. Alderman Mabbett commented he has stated his views in writing and quoted from his memorandum “The area is definitely not suited for residential use."; however, Alderman Traboulay Stated his view that the previous Council created the error of zoning the area Industrial and that he felt it should be zoned Agricultural. Alderman Laking stated he felt the zoning should be left the way it is until future use can be studied. Mrs. L. MacDonald, President of the Wrong Side of the Tracks Action Association, was in attendance and it was generally agreed she should be permitted to address the meeting.
