While we appreciate the concerns of Aldermen John Keryluk, as to hazardous
products and vaste within the City, we believe hs is associating our
proposed facility vith the BFI autoclaving of medical waste, which is
currently not accepted in GVBD land fill sites. Ouz facility is primarily a
sterilization facility for medical devices, vhich subsequent to our
treatment Will be used in hospital operating rooms. Ve do not generate,
pzocess or use any hazardous substances and the electron beam technology is
accepted vozid vide as an environmental clean aiteznative to many
hazardous and chemical process currently being used,

The Planning Department has received a number of requests for
information for the 1993 Home and Trade Fair. The answers we can provide at
this time are less asservice than they should, due to the current uncertainty
regarding the organizating of the next fair.
To correct this situation, a decision regarding a person to represent
the Committee to coordinate dates and referrals and provide information for
the 1993 Home and Trade Fair should be made at the earliest opportunity.
