Too much natural beauty has already been destroyed — Spare what ig left. Have standards and guidelines in place for tree-cu_ting and retention on private property (e.g. permit. and notificztion system). Clean-up Coquitlam River and re—atock with figh. Need more green space in neighbourhoods. Have reasoneble consideration of develcpment in natural areas —- do not stop progress. Doe not permit clear-cutting for subdivisions. Developers should be required tc address all environmental concerns prior to project commencement. Concern for environment can be overdone — do not impose more red tape on developers whose impacts are minimal. Involve Ministry of Healta, where possible, to ensure that there are no hazards to public health where contaminated sitea are concerned. Protect natural waterways. Discourage habitat that breeds coyotea. Development near dyke is detrimental to wildlife habitat. Do not regulate environmental protection on private lands — government should concern itself with the environmental standards of public lands. a ITEM | PAGE| 106 NO. OF RESPONSES IF OVER 1
