A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was ‘held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on May 10th, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, D.J. Vater and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Director of Community Planning W. Brown and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Public . F : Hearing: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed B/L #1893 - Dev. Permits. bylaw to amend che "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. Bylaw No. 1893: To include the following as subsection (5) of section 4: "(5) DEVELOPMENT PERMITS The Council may be resolution issue development permits that regulate or require howsoever many of those matters set out in Section 717(2) of the Municipal Act, R.S.B.C. 1979, c. 290, that the Council at the time of the issuance of the permit deems necessary or advisable." All property in the City is affected by the above noted amendment. No one was present to speak on the proposed rezoning. Carried. BYLAWS: B/L #1864 - Moved by Alderman Vater: Zoning Amend. - 2471 Seconded by Alderman Laking: Lougheed Hwy. (Final Rdg.) That Bylaw No. 1864 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted. Carried. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution Alderman Wright enquired regarding the engineering requirements and the removal of the watehman's trailer from the site and suggested that final reading of Bylaw No. 1864 be deferred one week.
