Subject: Revenue Sharing Act Grant
Official Community Plan

RECOMMENDATION: That City Council adopt the following resolution
to apply for the provincial grant.
RESOLUTION: "THAT THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM
IN OPEN MEETING ASSEMBLED DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AND UNDERTAKE TO HAVE PREPARED AN’ OFFICIAL
COMMUNITY PLAN. THE OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN
BYLAW AND SUPPORTING REPORT IS TO BE PREPARED
BY STAFF OF THE MUNICIPALITY, COMPLETING THE
DATA GATHERING AND ANALYSIS IN THE YEAR 1982
AND REPORT IN THE YEAR 1983."

COMMENTS :

The Planning Department have Prepared a timetable and list of projects
to be undertaken as part of writing a Community Plan. In adopting
the above resolution, City Council is committing the Planning
Department to following this work Programme of preparing an Official

Community Plan.

This schedule of work has been discussed by the Council's Planning

Committee and two points of timing concerns have been highlighted,

both have alternate schedules including postponement of the reports
that cause concern.
